Learn More about Readouts
The time you spend taking readings in the field is valuable, which is why all of RST’s readout units are made to store data from over 250 distinct instrument locations per route and have electronic download times of 15 seconds or less, allowing you to get the information you need quickly and spend less time on back-and-forth trips.
Four readout units are available to suit the kinds of sensors you need to collect data from. All come in sealed weatherproof cases so that you won’t have to worry about damaging your tools while you’re in the field. The VW2106 vibrating-wire readout reads, displays, and logs data from both vibrating wire sensors and thermistors; and the SG350 bridge transducer readout, bridge transducers—all three of which run on field-replaceable AA batteries. The C109 pneumatic readout reads, displays, and logs data from all pneumatic transducers, including piezometers and total earth pressure cells, and is powered by a long-life lithium battery.
RST also produces terminal stations that can be installed on site to manually read vibrating-wire sensors and their thermistors. Each station can connect to either 12 or 24 sensors, depending on the model. And all terminal station models are NEMA 4X and meet IP65 criteria for demanding conditions.
