Bruce has extensive engineering experience and business savvy as a previous COO of Alterra Power Corp., Plutonic Power Corp. and VP of Engineering at BC Hydro. Bruce has been a leader on many tunnelling and hydropower engineering projects on a global level and worked in many countries such as Canada, USA, China, Philippines and Australia. Prior to his executive roles, Bruce was a rock engineering specialist with BC Hydro in Canada, and Woodward-Clyde in the US. Bruce has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil) from the University of British Columbia, and Master and Doctor of Engineering degrees (Civil) from the University of California.
Bob is responsible for RST’s operational activities, office systems, production equipment, and oversees mechanical and electronic production activities. He also provides engineering support with his extensive experience in the geotechnical industry. Bob holds a Diploma in Civil (Marine) Engineering Technology from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Rob is well known for his knowledge & expertise in the development of custom geotechnical instruments for geotechnical applications. Many of Rob's instrumentation designs for dams, tunnels, mines, bridges, infrastructure, foundations and other related projects can be found in numerous projects around the world today. From 2004 - 2014, Rob was President of RST Instruments Ltd. and oversaw all product design & development in addition to business responsibilities. Rob obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science (Geotechnical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia.
Peter has diverse financial and operational experience in the mining, power generation and clean tech sector. Peter is a CPA and CA, and articled with Deloitte & Touche in Vancouver and completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.
Hayley is responsible for leading and developing the expanding global sales team. This includes managing the sales team processes and overseeing the quality of quotes and orders, and working with regional sales team leaders on customer development. Hayley has a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has been with the RST since 2012.
Pierre’s activities focus on applications of geotechnical instrumentation for civil infrastructure projects such as dams, tunnels and bridges, geohazards and underground and open pit mines. He explores new markets for geotechnical instrumentation as well as applications of new technologies to traditional geotechnical instrumentation markets. Pierre’s extensive experience and knowledge in the field of geotechnical, structural and mining instrumentation make him a valuable technical resource for the RST sales team; he has been with RST since 2007.
Gerard leads RST’s global strategies for new business ventures and expanding growth of existing vertical markets. Gerard was previously the V.P. of Engineered Solutions for Leica Geosystems and has been in the industry since 2004 developing new markets worldwide. Gerard has a B.S. in International Marketing and a Minor in Mechanical Engineering.
Jason previously worked at RST Instruments from 1994 until 2003 and has over 20 years experience servicing the geotechnical and civil engineering community. Jason’s career includes various roles in technical sales and product management. As the VP for Canada/US Sales, he is responsible for the growth of the RST in these markets. Jason has a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Sean oversees various technical & service related departments. Since 1987, he has gained experience as both a designer and a leader in numerous high technology industries. Most recently he served as VP of Engineering for major telecommunication and LED lighting firms. He has a Bachelor of Engineering Science (B.E.Sc.), Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree from Western University. Sean enjoys playing tennis & golf, cruising on his motorcycle and spending time with family.
From 2014 to 2016, Victor was the Director of Multi-Department Operations at ContainerWest Manufacturing. From 2006 to 2014, he was the Engineering Manager at Singer Valve Inc. Victor holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Traian Vuia University, Romania.
Grant has worked in the field of geotechnical instrumentation since 2003 and has extensive global experience in the installation of numerous instrumentation projects for monitoring dams, tunnels, deep excavations, railways, and related projects. Grant has a B.Eng. (Hons) 2:2, Civil Engineering from the University of Surrey and also holds a Diploma of Business from the Manchester Business School. Grant is located in the UK and leads a team serving new and current customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Fahmi is responsible for leading and developing the Asia Pacific market and sales team. He concentrates on customer and distributor development, including frequent travel around the region. Fahmi holds a BSc. in Geology from the University of Victoria and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He is a registered licensed Professional Geologist and is working towards his Engineering designation in the field of Environmental Engineering. Fahmi is fluent in English and Malay.
