Return Material Authorization Warranty Return Request
At RST Instruments, we stand behind the quality of our equipment. We offer a twelve (12)-month warranty from the date of purchase for any equipment that fails or malfunctions due to defects in materials or workmanship.
All material being returned to RST Instruments Ltd. must have an official Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. RMA numbers will be provided by an RST representative.
To initiate a warranty return, please follow these steps:
1. Create a new ticket via our Service web portal: Support Portal
2. Our service team will contact you to perform a first-level troubleshooting.
3. If our service representative determines the equipment is defective and should be returned under warranty, you will be provided with a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
Warranty Coverage Details:
- Defective items must be sent back to the RST Instruments factory, with the freight prepaid by the customer.
- Once the items are received, our team will evaluate them. If the warranty applies, we will repair or replace the items and return them to you, with the return freight prepaid by RST Instruments.
- If repair or replacement falls outside the warranty coverage, repair and return freight costs will be prepaid by the customer.
- Please note that the customer is responsible for both inbound and outbound brokerage and duties, if applicable.
- The warranty excludes damage due to wear and tear, physical damage resulting from incorrect use or misuse, and any damage caused by unauthorized repair or attempted repair.
- It also excludes any items that have been modified or altered by the customer.
Please complete the form below to request the return of an unused equipment purchased in the last 12 months:
- Please ensure that all fields marked “(required)” are filled out with the appropriate information.
- Once you submit the form, a representative from RST will contact you to provide you with an assigned RMA number.
- Before returning the products, please ensure they are properly cleaned and free of all hazardous contaminants.
- When shipping the package containing the returned products, please follow these instructions:
- Place Page 1 of the received RMA inside the package along with the goods being returned.
- Attach Page 2 of the received RMA securely on the outside of the package.
By following these steps, you ensure that all necessary documentation is included both inside and outside the package, facilitating a smooth and fast return process.
